We've had a terrific week at Falls Creek with our good friends Lisa and Dave and their 2 kids James (6) and Connor (3) and David and Gen (11).
We were very lucky as there was lots of fresh snow, we cut fresh tracks in the powder with much whooping although some days the visibility was pretty poor (as it was snowing.)
Some top quotes from the week:
Alex: ' I don't mean to be rude Dad but I want to do something more challenging'
Charlie: 'This snow is too cold' and 'Straight skiing is boring, I just want to do jumps.'
Sam argued with her instructor that to do a snow plough you turn your skis outwards.
All the kids went to ski school, Alex learnt to do a 180, both him and Charlie did lots of tree hugging, Charlie jumped off a cliff (?) and concentrated on going as fast as she possibly could, James did very well and carved it up through the trees. Sam and Connor were able to ski down the main beginners slope all by themselves by the end of the week.
Charlie had her birthday and turned 8 whilst we were away. Skiing on her birthday, lucky girl!!
