Lisa and Dave's Renewal of Vows, NYE 2015

It's hard to believe 10 years have gone by since we were up here in Cabarita last time for Lisa and Dave's wedding. Anyhow we're all older (and wiser) and wrinklier than before.
It was a beautiful evening and lovely to be included amongst such good friends and their lovely family.

Cabarita, NSW

We packed up the caravan on Boxing Day and headed home, only to prepare for holiday no 2!
On the 27th we flew up to Northern NSW for a week. Our good friends Lisa and Dave were having a 10 year wedding anniversary party.
We spent time with lots of good friends and their kids, lots of fun on different beaches, surf, swimming in river currents, jumping off bridges, SUP on the river... as well as lots of picnics, wine and of course the party on NYE! It was great having Helen and baby Isobella staying with us and hanging out with Kirsten and Derm and their kids.

Christmas 2015

A bit late in posting I'm afraid... too much fun was being had by all!
Busy with lots of fun stuff in the run up to Christmas:
Sam's Kinder Christmas party: Santa comes on a vintage firetruck, sings songs and all good children get a present!

Alex played his trumpet and Charlie sang in the annual Carols by Daylight concert at Federation Square in the city.

The ritual of the gingerbread house: making and decorating them with Hannah and Aidan then parading it up and down the street before demolishing and eating it!

Then we went to Anglesea in the caravan for Christmas. We had a great spot next to the river and spent a lot of time in the water: surfing, jumping the waves, playing dinghy races in the river and in the site pool.
On Christmas Day Santa comes to the main surf beach in a surf row boat (rowed in by 4 buff surfers) then has a chair spot up on the beach where he hands out lollies to all the kids (and 20year old Brazilian backpackers in very skimpy bikinis!)
Very relaxing time had by all.... only down side was the terrible bush fires in Wye River on Christmas Day which wasn't far from where we were.
